Science meets history! We start the session off with a short presentation about when castles were used and what they were for, travelling from the Bronze Age to the present day. Children then work in small teams to build a castle tower and then knock it down with a model onager. Space permitting we can then go outside for a demo of a trebuchet and our very own Minnie the black powder mortar (space permitting).
